Christine Hodges

I joined the BTYFC staff in the fall of 2017 as the Campus Life Director for Caro. I graduated from Imlay City High School in 2008 and from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2012 with a degree in Psychology. I’ve lived in many places in my life— more than 15, if I counted right! In the midst of all that change and uncertainty, there are a few things I’ve come to know are true:

  • God never fails.
  • Nowhere has a sunset quite like the Thumb of Michigan.

God never fails. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a family that believed, taught, and lived in light of this truth. No matter what goes on around me, good or bad, I know that God is in control and will work all things out according to His plan. Looking back at the trustworthiness of God (in Scripture and in my own life) pushes me forward to trust Him with every next step.

Nowhere has a sunset quite like the Thumb of Michigan! The colors are incredible. I can’t believe how amazing it can be…whether it’s over a field or the water. I just love how God shows off with the sky as His canvas.

It is a joy that I get to do my work in a way that combines these two great truths. I get to share the faithfulness of God in a wonderful place. I get to work alongside a team of people to accomplish one goal—to make Christ known. I get to spend time with students, learning their stories, and sharing with them the hope of a God who entered into our story and changes everything.

Other things you may want to know:

  • I have 2 parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and 3 sisters-in-law. Family gatherings are LOUD.
  • My favorite Bible verses are 1 Peter 1:3-9.
  • My favorite food is garlic bread. Or anything regularly served with garlic bread.
  • Fall is my favorite season… sweaters, crunchy leaves, hot apple cider, and football. What’s not to love?
