Summer Rec

The Village of Pigeon, Scheurer Hospital and Bluewater Thumb YFC are excited to announce the return of the Summer Rec Program!  We are able to provide participants with five weeks of recreation-themed activities Monday through Thursday each week.

Program Dates:

June 17-July 25  (Closed week of July 1-4)

Time:  9 am - 2:00 pm, Monday - Thursday  (Lunch will be provided)

Fees:   Free to village residents, $50 for youth out of village limits

Ages:   Students going into 1st - 6th grade

The Summer Rec Program will keep the youth active by engaging them in a variety of safe, supervised age appropriate activities such as traditional sports, craft projects, active games, fitness and nutrition, reading program, special guest events, as well as unique day trips offsite. The program will meet at the Pigeon Recreation Park, and will also utilize the Cross Lutheran Gym and the Youth for Christ Epicenter.

The program follows self-monitored guidelines, which will limit the number of participants to 60. The Summer Rec Program maintains a 1:20 Staff to participant ratio. Participants will be grouped according to age and staff will conduct age-appropriate recreation activities.

You can pick up a registration pack at either the Bluewater Thumb YFC office, the Village of Pigeon office, or download one now (see below).
