Though we're not natives to Bad Axe, we're happy to call it home. Christ called us to ministry here in Sept. 2021. However, He had been prepping us long before that. Cheyenne grew up in Fort Wayne, IN whereas Megan grew up in a country town in Fenwick, MI. We both served at local camps growing up and later met at a young adult small group in Saginaw, MI. Megan invited myself (Cheyenne) to take part in her neighborhood ministry with local teens in Saginaw. Little did we know our service in that area would lead to serving in the Thumb years later. We believe God left this open door of opportunity for us to walk through by faith.

Why are we here in the thumb? We believe in the calling and in the mission of Youth for Christ - reaching young people to hear about and to know Jesus deeply. We know the challenges teens can face, and we simply want to make an impact both on our students and in their families. This isn't something we take lightly as "backyard missionaries" but our aim always is to do all we can to be the hands and feet of Jesus wherever we go. Relationships with teens must be created to build trust and to hear their story.

Outside of work, Megan and I have 3 wonderful daughters (Evelyn 5, Amora 3 & Wrenley 18 months) that are an absolute honor to parents. As a family we like to bike, play board games and enjoy the beach. Cheyenne enjoys coaching basketball and track. Megan loves reading books and sitting by a bonfire. We are glad to be part of this small-town community.
