Bad Axe/Ubly Campus Life

Cheyenne Perry

Greetings all,
We would like to say hello to our new families and communities in the Bad Axe/Ubly area. Megan is originally from Fenwick, MI and Cheyenne is from Fort Wayne, IN. However, we met at a young adult bible study in Saginaw five years ago. In that time we’ve gotten married, had a wonderful daughter name Evelyn (who is now one year old), and have been steadily serving youth in both our neighborhood & church. As a family, we enjoy riding bikes, lounging on hammocks, and a shared bonfire. We also love playing board games and can be quite competitive. We both come from large families and love to gather with family and friends to share a meal, conversation, and plenty of laughter. The call to youth ministry started early in each our lives, with Christ at work in and through us. We were ministered to by our respective churches, while being given opportunities to minister through church involvement, community outreaches & mission trips. We have also both worked separately as camp counselors at various Christian camps and loved our experiences of engaging with the youth there. God has continually put us in positions to serve and lead youth in different capacities from church youth groups, coaching basketball, volunteering at juvenile detention centers, to literally ministering in our own backyard. These wonderful opportunities to build solid friendships and help young people understand the Good News of Jesus has grown our passion to serve the Lord in this way. Our heart’s cry is to help young people know Christ in a real and authentic way. Jesus said, “In this world you will have tribulation, but take heart for I have overcome the world” (John 16:33, ESV). Jesus is our only hope, and we want to share that hope with others by doing life alongside them & walking with them towards the One who has overcome it all. We love Saginaw, with all the memories & milestones it held for us. Yet, we are excited for all the memories to be made & milestones to be reached in our new community. We are thrilled to see how God will use all of us to continue impacting others & growing His Kingdom. We thank God immensely for you, your prayers and we look forward to meeting you soon.
