Will Spicer, Laker Campus Life

I started to follow Jesus around the age of twenty. It was at this point that my life completely changed. He transformed me into a different person. Jesus set me free from a multi-year battle with depression. I began to feel a call into ministry soon after I came to faith. I wanted to share Jesus with others. This led to me getting some biblical education and starting as the Laker Campus Life Director. This ministry gives me the privilege of sharing the most important message in the world with the youth in our community!

As the Laker Campus Life Director, I have had the privilege of investing in the youth of our community. Seeing youth impacted by Jesus and encouraging them as they grow in their faith is such a gift. We accomplish this through our programming such as our Bible studies, youth hangouts, Breakfast Clubs, and more. We also host several events such as our Lock-In, Spring Break Trip to Florida, Summer camps, and more. Relationships, built by the former things I mentioned, help as well as through mentoring, shared experiences, and more. The ministry of Laker Campus Life has helped me to see the longing each person has to be seen, heard, and loved.

I have been blessed with a beautiful wife, Rachel, who is currently a teacher in early childhood education at Cass City Schools. We have been married for almost 4 years. Recently, we have been blessed with a little boy named Jack. Our family is thankful for the opportunity that we have had to serve the community and share the good news of Jesus with our youth.
